On the fourth day of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Export Capabilities Exhibition (Iran Expo 2025), the booth of the Iran And Turkey Economic Consortium (ITECC) hosted Dr. Peyman Falsafi, the esteemed Vice-Chairman of the Agriculture Commission of the Iranian Parliament. This meeting provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue on potential collaborations in the agricultural sector between Iran and Turkey.

During the meeting, Mr. Burak Akmaya, representing the Turkish side, emphasized Iran’s vast agricultural potential, particularly the superior quality of its soil compared to Turkey. He expressed the interest of Turkish agribusinesses in investing in Iran. Key topics discussed included:
• Readiness of Turkish agricultural companies to transfer technology and equip Iranian farms with modern agricultural tools and systems
• Interest in cultivating agricultural products in Iran’s fertile lands to increase productivity
• Sharing Turkey’s successful experiences in revitalizing groundwater resources and efficient water management
Dr. Falsafi welcomed this approach and highlighted the positive impact that foreign private sector investment can have on sustainable and efficient agricultural development in Iran. He stated, “We are truly pleased with such investments and fully support them.”
